UV lamps essential when buying 'used / recycled' garden items!
I recently attended a local car boot sale and witnessed two men (I assumed, possibly, policemen) checking the details of several bicycles, lawnmowers and power tools. I later found out that they were using Ultra Violet lamps, checking for property markings on items that may have been stolen. As a freelance garden designer, I often look for supplies materials, and equipment at car boots and reclamation yards and am now looking to acquire my own UV lamp to ensure that I only buy legitimate goods. I would suggest that their wider use by the public would help deter theft from gardens and sheds.
